Ingress is Niantic's first game, and it actually became a sort of audition for Pok?(C)mon GO . The story of Ingress is that creatures are appearing through portals opening in the real world. Players use their GPS to track down the portals. Portals are fixed into real-world locations and there are te

Both of the games involve a perks system, where as you level up and gain more experience in the game, you can get different perks for your survivors. But Daylight goes one step further and adds perks for killers too, with some perks being unique to a survivor or killer. Overall, it's just a much more complex and varied system, but it also churns out better perks in the

The holidays are now over, and 2014 is upon us, and with it comes a television premiere/return schedule even more complicated than in the fall. As old and new favorites return from break, even more old and new shows will begin to premiere, and it will be up to you to decide what to and, more importantly, what not to wa

Meanwhile, Dead by Daylight has detailed characters and killers, and the graphics are just a lot more seamless. If you want to play based on visuals because that's what keeps you invested, you now know which Adventure Game Cheats to cho

On the other hand, all of the many complexities of Wizards Unite can make it a less straightforward and friendly to some players. Pok?(C)mon GO definitely encourages new players, even those who have never played any other game in the franchise before, because it’s so simple to underst

Daylight , however, has a level per character as well as player, and then a prestige level after that. This means that when you max a character out, you're not left asking yourself what the point of playing even is any m

Friday the 13th was involved in a long lawsuit which ended in the development of the game being canceled . They still update it to fix bugs and are claiming the game will stick around, but no more DLC content can be added. Meanwhile, Daylight are continuously adding DLC content and whole new realms, the most recent of which being the Stranger Things content where you can play as Steve and Nancy or even the Demogorgon. Hard to beat t

School houses and rivalries have been a consistent theme in the world of Harry Potter starting with the very first book. They’ve always served to spur and create competition, even in the real world. The fact that Wizards Unite chose not to make different house factions a means for friendly competition is both surprising and disappointing. Pok?(C)mon GO , on the other hand, allows players to choose a team to combat against other people in real life, despite Pok?(C)mon itself never having teams. This adds a fun sense of competition to the game, that Wizards Unite sorely la

The final section of the dev blog goes into the "united" part of Wizards Unite , revealing what are basically raid battles. Just like Pok?(C)mon GO (how many times is that now?), you have to go to a special real-world location to partake in these battles. However, instead of fighting legendary Pok?(C)mon, you will team up with other players to fight evil wizards and scary magical beasts like Dement

Wizards Unite has many more aspects to it and can feel a bit harder to understand. While, overall, it’s still about collecting supplies and items, the story is more complex which can make it seem like less of a straight line to an end goal. It's lacking a bit of that pick-up-and-play factor in compari

Overall, the pattern of Wizards Unite 's gameplay looks to be borrowing heavily Pok?(C)mon GO 's. Players walk around to find collectibles, monitor their resources, and are eventually forced to visit real-world locations to replenish those resources. Then again, most mobile games have some sort of resource system. Even if Wizards Unite handles resources similar to GO, the latter still has very Pok?(C)mon -specific features like gyms and legendary battles. Surely Niantic wouldn't give us some Polyjuice Potion version of that, right? Wel

As a small studio, however, Niantic could only do so much. It made sense, then, for Pok?(C)stops to be in the exact same locations as Ingress portals.
